The economy journalist, Bardh Sejdarasi, said that every transaction that takes place in the second level banks is reported to the Directorate for the Prevention of Money Laundering. "In the bank, every transaction that takes place is reported to the money laundering prevention department, which has more than 765 reports to the Prosecutor's Office for suspicion of money laundering.

There is a unit in the Bank of Albania that monitors all exchange points in the country. This whole system and that of the second level banks are under the monitoring of the clearing agency. "Money laundering brings more inflows of this money and leads to a decrease in the strength of the lek", said Sejdarasi in "Euronews".
