14 harmless questions about hazardous waste!

There are probably many more. But let's start with 14 harmless questions about the waste, about the toxic reaction of the ministries.

After the reaction of the ministries, the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy yesterday (August 24), this list of questions that these ministries had to clarify is made. In helping to uncover the truth about the remains bound for Thailand and beyond, these missing answers to the questions...

1. If the materials/waste in question are not dangerous or toxic, why is it not allowed to return to Albania, as their country of origin?

2. Has Ms. Kumbaro issued an environmental authorization, as required by our environmental legislation for these exports?

3. Why is the response mostly about customs and port legislation, and not environmental legislation? For example: The Basel Convention is mentioned several times, which is closely related to environmental legislation.

4. What is the economic logic of the export from Albania to Thailand of "Iron Oxide" or as it is popularly known as "rust"?!

5. Is iron oxide (rust) waste?!

6. Are the wastes from metallurgical processing toxic and loaded with heavy metals? If so, and they are listed in the annexes of the Basel Convention, are they called dangerous then?!

7. Based on the Basel Convention, such waste should be notified to the host country. You are aware of the ports through which the cargoes have passed, but do you know whether the receiving countries (Thailand and China) have confirmed the acceptance of such cargoes?

8. According to the Basel convention, such waste or such materials will have to be handled from the country of origin, Albania in the case of Kurum cargoes and as close as possible to their source. How will this case be handled?

9. Is the transit of Zinc concentrate originating from Kosovo to China intentionally confused or is it really connected with Kurum cargoes to Thailand?

10. Is it permissible from an environmental point of view for such materials to remain for a long time in open spaces in the Port of Durrës, subjecting them to natural agents and especially rain?

11. If the analysis sheets are available, which also constitute the exhaustive facts on which the reaction of the ministries should be based, of the exported materials for the cargo in question, why are they not made public?

12. If the goods you say have been accepted by the final destination countries, mention only China there for the zinc concentrate originating from Kosovo, but Thailand is said to have rejected this shipment, while you as the minister are confirming the opposite. Can the confirmation document be disclosed?!

13. The Prosecutor's Office of Durrës says, among other things, that the investigative material from the Local Directorate of the Durrës Police, for the criminal offense "Transportation of waste", provided by article 201/bi of the Criminal Code, has been referred. If no remains were trafficked, where does the prosecution stand?

14. If everything was in order, what is being investigated?

If someone thinks that they can leave the Port of Durrës without being checked and without being stopped, even a stack of 10 packs of tobacco, they are seriously mistaken!!
