Political Acrobatics Before the May 11 Elections

You asked for a transfer, we gave you a transfer: Will you fuck Korça, like you fucked Bera?

The problem of crossing the political rainbow from one party to another, especially on the eve of elections, was not invented by us Albanians. It is a common phenomenon in world politics. We only perfected it, giving it the forms of our mediocrity and taking it further. Our polluted political environment is in great need of purification, and this can only be made possible by introducing new elements, whose doors are closed without the permission of the party leaders who have polluted all of Albanian politics.

The phenomenon of switching from one party to another not only does not clear the spectrum, but it also makes it even worse. Disappointments in politics are understandable, but in no case can voters be blamed for this, and therefore it is their right to demand a minimum of political morality from their elected officials.

That, my friend, you were disappointed, it is no one's fault because you were short-sighted or self-interested, and you relied on a certain political force for your future. After the failure of your goals in the party you chose, I think it is not right to align yourself with other forces, which until yesterday you had opponents, because first of all, you have killed your political morality (because this politics has never had morality!) and secondly, you have killed trust.

When you fail where you supported your ideals, it is good to look at where the mistake was made and step aside, because your insistence has taken the place of another. Political failure is not a catastrophe, so it should be given the place it deserves. In case of failure, it is normal to withdraw, not to change sides. Life can be faced with many other activities, beyond politics, and while politicians do not want to understand it, it is our duty as voters to show them the country. Albania does not have to turn into an experimental field for failures. After the withdrawal of many leaders from the Freedom Party, now finally Brahimllari and Basha are joining the SP. I am not surprised by this choice, since Rama himself was one of those who made this movement successful, but I can never believe that these people have a certain political conviction that constitutes a cause for life.

Now that the Freedom Party has taken water from below, it is not excluded that Monika, who sacrificed her boot to dirty Rama's face, will also seek asylum in this party, but the problem remains the question of where we are going with this style that has been humiliating the Albanian vote for over 30 years? Albania is a small country and 100 or so parties are a bit too many for it. Most of them have gathered such losers and they have done well, but it would be better for them to create their own party of losers and not disperse into other parties, because they would spread their germ of crime, theft and fraud in an uncontrolled manner and would again turn the fight against corruption from the beginning, turning it into a vicious circle. To be honest, Rama himself followed this path to come to the head of the Socialists, but I have never believed that Rama is a socialist. He was an anarchist-democratic alliance that the country needed at a certain time. Even without being a socialist, his merit cannot be denied in leveling the tensions coming from the extreme right. Unfortunately, he went even further by making a deal with the Berisha crime, which even after 20 or so years is still not being judged. Rama's statements that he does not interfere with justice are very cynical at a time when the country has gone through Gerdec and January 21. For these reasons, he is quite archaic and the socialists should have done the right thing in time. The fact that he is also leading these elections is not positive for the country.

We are a small country and we have the divine right to demand a little morality from politics. I am not against changing beliefs, but I cannot believe that this was done so suddenly, as if by order of a fish. Mr. Basha's latest move from Kamza, precisely at the time when the lists of candidates for MPs have just been published, reminds me of a story from the time of His Majesty King Zog.

His former loyal adjutant Osman Gazepi is appointed as the all-powerful one in Korça. But there they knew him by heart and made fun of him. He felt bad and immediately asked His Majesty to transfer him from Korça to Berat, since they did not recognize his merits there. The king did not hesitate to grant his request, and announced the transfer. But they say that the spirit is the source of the evil, and the same evils he committed in Korça were repeated in Berat. Here, too, the humor was even more bitter than in Korça, and Gazepi, unable to bear the insults, again asked His Majesty to transfer him back to Korça. After reading the request, Zogu replied with a brilliant couplet: You asked for a transfer, we gave you a transfer. Are you going to fuck Korça, just like you fucked Bera? Times really do repeat themselves, but the Albanian is too tired and exhausted to endure such toys on his back. / Pamphlet
