If the entire chain that appointed that gangster to head such an important post is not punished and punished, then we must all painfully begin to suspect that corruption is reviving in the State Police.
The event in Pogradec where Egli Proga tragically lost his life seems to have ended just like that dialogue in the movie "Poppies on the Wall". There, in that film, there is a wonderful passage that shows how narrative is constructed by instances of authority. But I will clarify this below.
It is known in communication theories that events are reproduced according to the motive or intention of the speaker. The Pogradec incident and the narrative it produced is a good journalism lesson in looking at the purpose of the statement, the characters of the statement, the message and the actors who make that statement happen. Since it has been a few days, I will allow myself to use notes of black humor even though it was a tragic event. If an event creates several narratives it has not been clarified as it should, but if there is only one narrative then that event has been hidden or narrated according to the purpose that has the authority to show not what happened but what should have happened. The movie "Poppies on the Wall" best actualizes this analogy.
The case of Pogradec best illustrates the fact that the chronicle of the events is one thing and the narrative or their narration is another. To understand why the narrative of the State Police created so many misunderstandings, I am also making an analogy with the film I mentioned to show that, in this case, the State Police did not show what had happened, but constructed a fiction of what had happened . She shot down all media reporting and tried to impose her informational authority.
However, in this case, one must be careful that when it is overdone it leads to authoritarianism and for this reason the audience can be pushed to make an analogy with the film mentioned above. How? Let's see. The guardian of the film, the great actor Kadri Roshi, follows the poor boy, Sulo, and he comes out of the gate and the patrol kills him.
Now the question is: did the patrol kill him or did he fall from the wall. And comes the famous scene of the quaestor with the children. The quaestor wants to convince the children that Suloja fell from the wall and was not killed by the patrol. "We heard screams," says a child there. « Who spoke? », « Who?» and one of the carabinieri, the actor Vasillaq Vangjeli picks up what he suspects he asked. "Here, then, continues the quaestor - you see that there was no crisis". By analogy, the media in those days said that Eglin was killed by a thug who shot him with his fist. But Artur Lilo, in the hospital, told his colleagues that a drunk has died. When Egli's cousin told him that they didn't kill him, he replied, "Get out of there."
According to the Police Authority, this policeman has performed his duty. He has not heard krismas. All this tragicomic paradox that produced a completely different narrative than what happened is because the State Police has a little fly in the ointment. This fly becomes even bigger with the other news, that of the arrest of the gangster boss of the drug traffic in Durrës, Gazmir Preçi. Only the minister reacted here and he did well.
However, this time the State Police, who were affected in the seder with the media, why they had confessed to being silent about Egli's death, owes us an explanation. Who appointed this policeman to such a high position three years after he was fired as a defender of cannabis cultivation in Mallakastër? How is it possible that such an appointment is made?
If the whole chain that appointed that gangster to head such an important post is not punished and punished, then we all painfully have to start suspecting that corruption is reviving in the State Police. This man who issues fines in a police uniform owes that money to whoever appointed him to that position.
If Artur Liloja, who said that Egli died from drinking, has done his duty, then Preçi, what duty has he done, gentlemen of the State Police?! If you have an excuse as to why you appointed a policeman punished for supporting drugs to that task and if this justification is the same as for Pogradec's policeman Artur Lilo, then tell us which policeman performed the task and to which superior.
