To brag about LaCivita and pay "a lot of money" for a campaign that is simply a facade, when you are certain of defeat, is humiliating for those who, until yesterday, sat under the balcony and hoped in you.
The Democratic Party has fielded the weakest team in 34 years for the May 11 election campaign. No one believed that, after the catastrophic losses after 2013, Berisha would not have the opportunity to produce at least a list of acceptable names and figures from the base of that party. What was expected is probably happening now in the DP district branches. Discontent, annoyance, accusations, disregard, departures, and everything else you can hear in the DP branches and its base. Berisha's primaries, propagated with so much fanfare, turned out to be a "fraud" and when the party, on the eve of the most decisive campaign of that party.
The campaign on which the fate of the DP and Sali Berisha depends. The lists of primaries were thrown into the trash, while the list of names with the new candidates of that party was drawn up by Sali Berisha himself and his close circle. Without taking into account the contributions and points achieved by the competitors in the primaries, Berisha erased prominent names of that political force from memory. The transfer of "political commissioners" from one city to another without any convincing argument, as well as the inclusion in the safe lists of names that are not at all convincing and accused by the party base, clearly showed that Berisha plays with the fate of that party for his own personal interests.
To compete on May 11, with a list full of names that do not enjoy the respect of the membership and to announce a “victory program”, when in fact you do not have a program, alternative and convincing team, is more than a mockery of the fate of your supporters. To boast about LaCivita and to pay “a lot of money” for a campaign that is simply a facade, since you are certain of defeat, this is humiliating for those who, until yesterday, sat under the balcony and hoped in you. But Berisha has no problem. He “smells” the defeat and this time he is making every effort to make his campaign and propaganda, for “achieving victory”, seem as convincing as possible.
The demonstrative departure of Dash Sula (which Berisha did not expect) has badly tarnished the image of the former historical leader of the DP. The opinion and absolute conviction of the majority of the membership that “The Doctor is fair and honest with the people who serve him politically” has finally fallen. No, the Doctor only walks the “alley” that leads to his interests and those that he always uses when he feels danger. Perhaps in Dash, he did not see the “right man” and threw him away. What happened with Dash Sula is happening with other names in Tirana and some branches, so the internal situation in the DP is becoming more and more dramatic.
Under these conditions, even if Berisha wanted to, nothing would change now. Dash Sula's irrevocable departure is being followed by other names in Tirana and the surrounding areas, completely invalidating Berisha's list of names, which without any doubt remains the main cause of a deep defeat on May 11. What is expected after May 11 is the fury of Berisha's attacks on the "breadwinners" who left while "serving Rama"... A theory and scenario as old as the Doctor's career in politics, which no longer "drinks water" in 2025.
