After the decision of the Court of Appeal, which officially gave Berisha the stamp of the DP, Basha, left without a stamp, declared that he will appeal that decision to the Supreme Court. It seems a logical action for someone who thinks that an unfair judicial decision has been taken against him, but the political reality in Albania shows that it is not a rational electoral action.
An appeal to the Supreme Court by Basha will take months, if not years, to be considered there. Even if Basha regains the seal of the DP in the Supreme Court, it will be too late to compete in the spring 2025 elections as the head of a DP with his seal...
Meanwhile, even the electorate that Basha currently has would pass into apathy, waiting for a delayed decision of the Supreme Court. And this apathy can be politically fatal for him, even if Basha is recalled in the last few weeks to enter the 2025 race.

Only 4 weeks ago, in a survey for Report TV, Basha's party won me about 105 thousand votes (with rough statistical extrapolation). While the other small parties (except for what Basha calls the "Bermunda Triangle") had about 130,000 votes.
If Basha quickly registers a new party, as well as if he creates an alliance with small parties outside the SP-PD-PL triangle, it is likely to become an electoral factor in the next elections. Otherwise, it will remain knocking on the doors of the courts...
