The history of the DP cannot end in a seat occupied by force, whose heir has already been the daughter of the occupier, also "non grata".
I don't want to get into the legal debate about the stamp of the Democratic Party, since it has been torn apart, trivialized and several times humiliated in terms of the importance it had to resolve when the separation conflict between Berisha and Basha happened. But of course the political context of this division is important.
Sali Berisha divided the PD and refused to submit to its Assembly by inventing a parallel assembly in the stadium, not because he was afraid of not winning. He could win the battle in a hall with Lulzim Basha. He was insulted that the DP questioned his leadership, he was insulted that the DP showed him the place and removed him from the parliamentary group, he was above all insulted that people were accepting this silently as a relief.
This is the reason why he did not consider the legal rules of the PD, that he did not submit you to the competition and did not recognize that part of the PD that rejected him.
He didn't need the stamp of the DP, but he needed to eradicate the bad stain of rejection by the DP, of the sloppiness and above all of his treatment as an ordinary competitor.
He didn't want to take PD in a race, but he wanted to bring him to his knees, kneel before him and hand him the crown.
This is the only historical merit that Lulzim Basha has in this entire history. With a hundred flaws of his own, he at least formally removed Sali Berisha from the PD parliamentary group and did not hand over the seal to him, but contested it.
Berisha did not accept the race in PD because if he accepted it, he would win himself or Berishism would lose. He refused to overthrow Berishism with his own hand, he refused to crumble the false authority he has raised in 30 or so years over the militants as a man whose name should not be discussed.
For this reason, he invented this whole illegitimate process within the PD that has created the legal impasse. On June 11, a court in Tirana will give a legal decision about this impasse, which is formally in favor of Lulzim Basha. But regardless of that, the court should not simply start from this legal premise.
Justice in Albania has the duty to punish by law and Berishism as an ideology of primitive rulers at the head of the parties, who block the democratic system, ignore it and invent their own rules.
Berisha should not be punished for being a minority in the opposition. He must be punished for trying to keep a majority around him based on Berishism and not on the law, based on the need he has as a person "non grata" declared by the USA and Great Britain to oppose them with his soldiers.
The seal of the DP can be declared "null" invalid for any group, but it cannot be returned to Sali Berisha, since democracy cannot be insulted and Berishism rewarded as its antipode, the West cannot be insulted and the anti-Western Taliban rewarded he mobilizes against the West, above all, I cannot end the history of the first political party after communism, in the mass graveyard of transition politicians, who ended up at the end of their lives immersed in major corruption, he undermines democracy and creates family feuds in the party.
I cannot end the history of the DP in a seat occupied by force, whose heir has already been the daughter of the occupier, also "non grata".
The fact that Sali Berisha's children are declaring themselves presidents and successors of presidents would be enough for that seal to never end up in the hands of those who know their property.
He simply asks that this trial legalize the seizure of the PD that he has made.
The trial against the stamp of the DP is above all political, and I must decide in the name of the mission of the DP and its history and not in the name of the blackmail of Berishism to survive as an ideology against democracy, against the West, against Albania.
