Last night, the grandest and most furious rally in the 34-year history of Albanian pluralism was an electoral death foretold. A rally that sought to convince DP supporters and not only why this political force is competing for second place in these elections.
It cannot win because it does not have the courage to tell its leader and some leading figures that you are worn out and exhausted figures in ideas despite the nerve to remain in power forever. The 2023 elections or various polls were not enough, order participation outside Albania and inside. Open your arms, give the party breathing space as there are leadership formulas in cases of transition, party leadership on the eve of campaigns. The DP is not the first party to face these problems. Better a painful end than endless pain.
Renew the main figures with people who are not worn out but have a reputation in the city who have a moral credo and vision. Let the loyalists continue to contribute to the party if they want, they have had enough.

Join the opponents who are within the right despite their modest weight in the electorate, as they perceive the parties competing for the mayor's fate not as an opposition front. Perception is more important in politics than reality. Plus, energies are channeled to the natural political opponent, not to each other.
Unify the theses of the right and the center-right without borrowing Trumpist theses that are outside the Albanian context. Focus on 5 or 6 topics that are essential for society, repeating them until boredom and forget the thesis that the abolition of the non-degree will finally solve the problems of the DP. Because even if it is abolished, there is no way to increase the right-wing vote with this strategy.
Create hope in the disappointed, upset, unstable voter that the right, despite the manipulative mechanisms that the government will use, will win the elections because it has the majority of society with it who no longer want this form of government. The spirit overthrows systems, structures, money has been shown by the 34-year history of Albania. Look at what is happening in Serbia.
Improve public discourse with new figures who are not intimidated by videos or previous statements that contradict what the person in the studio says. Promote people who know how to articulate right-wing theses and who have no time left for the theses of 2010 when the DP was in power. Let the old ones continue to contribute on the ground by setting the structures in motion, I believe they owe so much to the party for what they have received in all these years.
Build a new approach with internationals not dictated by the current leader's predicament. We are doomed to have international allies, so a new communication strategy must be conceived. Freeing the DP from old figures will release new energies of cooperation with internationals. The spirit of the right today in the West dominates the political field, why should it be different in Albania.
Yes, the supporters will say, who are you watching? Report TV, which provides drone footage of 3,000 people, opened its eyes, look at TVSyrin, 400,000 people. The permanent voters of the DP say that it is a joke, but we have been led by Berisha for 34 years, how can we trust anyone else? The centrists of Rithemelim say that we faced the pirouettes we made from Basha to Sali with dignity, how can we hand it over now that we are well in leadership positions. In the end, even in the opposition, life is not bad, since the government has shown that it is cavalier with us too. The leaders of the subsections below say that it is bad. How can we forget the clashes of January 8 and the insults in the 2023 elections with the trusted people of Basha Alibeaj and his friends.
In short, this is a monologue that speaks to that voter who was not at the grand rally yesterday and will not go to the polls on May 11 as long as the furious DP continues with the same strategy. Their voice speaks with silence, differentiation, ignorance and contempt for what is happening in the DP.
