Yesterday I read in the media that my friend Agim Doçi is fighting death. I was very sad and remembered the first day I met him.
It was a cold December evening in 1994. Azem Hajdari called me and told me that the next day we were both invited as former students of December 90' to the anniversary that was being organized in Elbasan and that Agim Doçi would participate with us.
The three of us would travel because Azemi was called an enemy after Berisha had expelled him from the parliamentary group, only that Azemi had slapped Sotiri, the DP guard.
We left for Elbasan at 12:00 and the road was not felt at all because of the mood that characterized Agim Doçi.
Suddenly, before entering the city, our car's tire went flat and we were stuck in the middle of the road.
It was raining outside but we had to go out and ask for help because we still didn't have cell phones in those years.
As soon as we stepped out into the street, passers-by recognized Azem and started approaching.
Suddenly, hundreds gathered and the situation was so electrifying that Agim Doçi got on the car and improvised a speech mixed with poetic verses. Some elders burst into tears and Azemi caught the situation by taking out the megaphone and improvising one of the most beautiful speeches in his life.
In the end, he ended his speech by saying:
“See this flat tire on my car? This gathers more people than Sali Berisha's ministers who are destroying Albania".
I remembered this story, when I watched in the evening the film footage of 10 halabaks burning car tires in front of the town hall demanding the resignation of Erion Velija.
30 years ago, the punctured tires of Azemi and Agim Doç collected 300 times more than all the burned tires of Sali Berisha in front of the Tirana Municipality.
In fact, then it was not the tire but the hope for change that gathered the people in the squares.
Today, even if you burn all the tires of Albania, you cannot ignite the hope of humanity with the rotten causes of the party.
Therefore, the protests in front of the town hall are the smallest in history.

Simply, his "car" should be taken to the cemetery for scrap because it is a source of accidents on all the roads of Albania.
