Kurti's self-determination party received only 40.9% of the votes of election participants in Kosovo. And with this percentage, it would secure only 47 seats in the Assembly, out of the 61 it needs to form a government.
But the lead in diaspora votes seems to be giving Vetvendosje a boost, to reach up to 50 seats in the Kosovo Assembly. And yet, to reach the threshold of 61 seats that Kurti needs to form a government, he will also need the votes of non-Serb minority MPs, as well as the votes of some Albanian opposition MPs.
Of the Albanian opposition MPs, those from the Limaj Initiative seem the most likely to join at least 61 MPs who could vote for a Kurti government for the next governing mandate in Kosovo.
