The PD is continuing with what it knows how to do best, the hysterization of ad hominem attacks, the target of which has recently been the Italian-Albanian journalist and publisher, Carlo Bollino. With an unusual density, the owner of Report TV and Shqiptarja.com, is publicly accused or reported to SPAK, for the suspicious activity of Bunk'art, for the appropriation of 1 euro of the building and the plot where the headquarters of his media is located. for the funding he received in the election campaign from incinerators and so on.
At first glance, the accusations and denunciations seem fair and principled. It is an undeniable fact that Bollino's media feeds on funding and public property, since the time when Edi Rama has been in power. And in exchange for these "goods" they often serve renaissance propaganda by spreading lies.
They first spread the alibi, that the police killed the young Klodian Rasha, since he was armed, which later turned out not to be true. Such was the deception that interested the Renaissance, after the murder of Pjerrin Xhuvan, before the elections, in Elbasan, that there was no evidence of vote buying in the car at the scene.
The slogan "Sali is to blame" is an editorial line of these media, as far as ridiculous hints, that Berisha's hand is hidden behind the Iranian cyber attacks, which brought the Albanian IT system to its knees. The climax reaches such absurdities that when a girl, a victim of Rahja's violence in Fushë Krujë, is interviewed by Report TV, she is asked if the denunciations that Berisha made against those who abused her caused her pain.
To these alibis, which try to reduce government crimes and repeated attacks on the opposition, you can also add episodes that will remain in the funny memory of the history of polls, such as those when Rama turns out to be the most popular European leader, ahead of Merkel, Macron or Putin. .
So, there is no doubt that Report TV and Shqiptarja.com, as partisan media, falling on the neck of the profession, have known how to repay the debt of the favors they received from the government. And here, an opposition has its right to expose this open connection between politics and the "fourth power".
In this sense, Berisha and his colleagues, on the surface, seem to fulfill their oppositional obligation by denouncing Bollino and the media he leads.
But the naked truth is a little different. After perceiving the Albanian media landscape, only from the point of view of the PD, the false impression is created that everything else goes well and the evil is concentrated in this small house with negligible weight in the information market. And here the DP becomes abusive and lies, serving as a machine for distributing partial truths, which want to hide the great evil.
Because everyone understands that you can't target Carlo Bollino, that he took advantage of Edi Rama to set up his headquarters and pretend to forget where Tv Klani, ABC, or Ora Neës are located, that benefited at the time when the firms were thrown by Berisha. Let me then compare those little alibis of Report TV, mentioned above, with that video of January 21, which created the impression that the demonstrators were killed by their comrades who were by their side.

Either because of the modest audience, or because of the amount of benefits that Report TV and Shqiptarja.com have received, they are simply a small wound in a body that is languishing from the disease. Therefore, turning them into a symbol of a captured and degenerate media system is dishonest. This is exactly where the hypocrisy of the parochial denunciations lies and the risk that they will not have an impact and echo in the public.
Being selective, not using the same measure and the same weight, towards those media that serve Edi Rama, but are careful with the opposition, the latter removes its purpose. It makes the same mistake as with the behavior towards the oligarchs, which does not hit everyone equally. This kind of behavior is more like a blackmail than a commitment in the public interest and as such damages the credibility of the DP, more than all the chronicles and articles of the Bollino media taken together.
