But the letter is very valuable in understanding Sali Berisha's predicament. The entire letter was an attempt to explain his problem with the US government before Trump.
Sali Berisha's letter sent on Facebook to President Donald Trump is of no use to either Trump or Berisha, as Trump doesn't even read it, and Berisha doesn't care if he reads it or receives it, but rather that the Albanians who sent him the letter see it.
But the letter is very valuable in understanding Sali Berisha's predicament. The entire letter was an attempt to explain his problem with the US government before Trump.
That is, his declaration of "non grata", his international isolation, his heavy defeat in the elections, etc., according to him, came from the fact that the US was governed by leftists who spent money to destroy the global right, including Sali Berisha.
This shows a lot about what old age and family troubles do. Sali Berisha has never done anything so banal in public before.
His attempt to illustrate Trump's ideas with his own family troubles shows why he is motivated to remain in politics and cling to the DP with all his might, in the hope of removing the stigma of a thief accused of major corruption, an underminer of democracy, and a blackmailer of justice.
But if Berisha in the US was placed under sanctions because, according to him, it was a left-wing government, then why in London, which was a right-wing government, even a Trumpist government, that of Boris Johnson, was he declared "non grata" and lost all the trials, spending another 600 thousand pounds and remaining "non grata" forever? Or was Soros paying the Trumpists in London?
If Soros did the justice reform, it all took shape from 2016 to 2020, when Trump was in the White House. Or was Soros manipulating Trump even then?
And finally, if you truly believe that Trump will remove Berisha's "non grata" status, will Berisha become a revered figure for Albanians?
Berisha was declared “non grata” first by the Albanians and then by the USA and Great Britain. The removal of “non grata” for Berisha is a great relief for other politicians, including Edi Rama, but for Albanians it means nothing. For other politicians it does. If this were to happen theoretically, the happiest person about this would be Edi Rama, since he beats Berisha both with “non grata” and without “non grata”.
But if the US can be humiliated by lobbyists and lift sanctions, then the US becomes a laughing stock in Albania and can no longer impose anyone. Not with "non grata", not with SPAK, not with justice reform. That is where American influence in Albania ends.
I don't believe Berisha is doing this honor to his opponents, who the only thing they fear in this country is the USA.
