The radiation of the Days of Saint Mother Teresa from Tirana to the entire Albanian space conveys a clear message: Gonxha Bojaxhiu is not simply a historical figure, but a spirit that unites Albanians in their cultural, spiritual and national identity.

The celebration of the Days of Saint Mother Teresa in Tirana constitutes an important spiritual and national event, where the Albanian capital becomes a center of reflection and homage to the figure of Gonxhe Bojaxhiu. Through cultural, academic and commemorative activities, Tirana not only remembers its spiritual connection with the life of Mother Teresa, but transforms this anniversary into a platform for the spiritual unity of Albanians wherever they are. These are not simply calendar days, but an invitation to revisit the roots, memory and message of unconditional love, which she projected onto all of humanity.

The story of Mother Teresa is closely linked to Tirana and Albania, where her mother and sister had lived since the 1930s. This family proximity made her constantly express the desire to visit her homeland, but the circumstances of the time did not allow it. During the communist regime, she addressed Albanians with letters filled with pain and love, assuring them that she always had them in her prayers. Only in the late 1980s was she given the opportunity to come to Albania, where she bowed down next to her mother's grave and witnessed the greatness of forgiveness, overcoming the obstacles of the past. This gesture of calm and humility has made her figure even brighter in the national memory and more acceptable in the universal dimensions of peace and love.

The events dedicated to Mother Teresa's Days, which extend from August 26, the day of her birth, to September 5, the anniversary of her passing, are a spiritual and national journey. During these days, the entire Albanian geography becomes one: from Skopje where she was born, to Tirana where her mother and sister rest, from Pristina to Prizren of the family tree, to Struga of poetry and solidarity. In this vast space of memory, Gonxha's light becomes a bridge of unity and inspiration, reminding us that she is not only a saint of the world, but also our daughter, who with her work has made the Albanian nation part of the universal history of humanity.

In this context, two new publications are being promoted that complement each other. “The Skopje Ring in the Crown of the World” presents her figure as a great national and cultural symbol. This book teaches us that from an ancient city, with Illyrian and Arbër roots, a personality can be born that becomes a torch of love for the whole world. Through the analysis of her life, it is highlighted that Mother Teresa is part of our national identity, as well as of global human memory.

While the second book, “With Mother Teresa’s Companions – From Mission to Sanctity”, is a mosaic of stories, testimonies and memories from those who knew her, accompanied her and worked with her. The book strips her figure of excessive idealization and presents her as an ordinary person, but with extraordinary faith and love. Through it we understand that her greatness lay not in big words, but in

small gestures of love and sacrifice, in being present with the poorest and in devotion to each person without distinction.

The two books, in dialogue with each other, build a complete portrait of Mother Teresa: at once Gonxha of Skopje, daughter of the nation; Mother of the poor, missionary of love; and Saint who gave the world an eternal message. Through them, the reader not only remembers, but also learns, is inspired and feels called to live according to her example.

The manifestation of her Days in Tirana is more than a commemoration: it is a bequest. It is the call that she once sent through her letters, but which today rings even louder: to love one another, to forgive, to serve. In a world often dominated by selfishness, division and hatred, Gonxha's memory brings us back to the simple but eternal values of love and service.

The radiation of the Days of Saint Mother Teresa from Tirana to the entire Albanian space conveys a clear message: Gonxha Bojaxhiu is not simply a historical figure, but a spirit that unites Albanians in their cultural, spiritual and national identity. Such manifestations become points of orientation for a brighter future, reminding us that her memory is not only a legacy, but a permanent call to be more humane, more united and more open to the world. This is the message that is imprinted not only in our hearts, but also in the common horizon of Albanians wherever they are.
