The attempt to humiliate Albanians in Macedonia by creating parallels with justice in Albania, by a party that has not yet solved its problems with justice since the time of the former FYROM, then the former Macedonia and now the Republic of North Macedonia, shows what a primitive republic the Albanians live in there, also through their own fault.
Our Embassy in Skopje has reacted to the statements of Aleksandër Nikolovski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure in North Macedonia, who stated in a parliamentary plenary session that Ilir Meta "is being held in detention without a file", making strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The statement was intended neither to defend Ilir Meta nor to attack Edi Rama, but to create the image of an ugly Albania to humiliate the political class in Macedonia, reminding them of the “mother state”. And at this point it is a racist statement that reflects the profile of the ruling party in Macedonia and reminds us once again of the misfortune of the political defactorization of Albanians, who, in addition to being humiliated and ignored, must also endure lectures on justice from the number two of a party whose “spiritual leader” is on the run from justice.
Nikolovski has the right to defend Ilir Meta as a political ally, but also as a politician in general. It is true that Ilir Meta has been held in prison for almost a year and a half without any credible reason and clearly with the zeal of prosecutors who terrorize the special court and treat the judges of that court as if they had cleaners in their house.
There is no legal argument why a man who has nothing to do with being free should remain in custody, except to escape like Gruevski, whom he had helped flee Albania to Montenegro. It is simply an injustice that the "corporation" of the new justice system does to strengthen its authority and increase its bargaining power with politics.
Also, this person has the right to attack Edi Rama. Edi Rama is a political opponent of the ruling nationalist party in Macedonia, he has opposed the division of the Albanian factor that they achieved with the help of Albin Kurti and he is not a political ally of theirs. They simply had him as an opponent in the electoral campaign and they do not have good political relations with him. They are free to attack and criticize him.
I am not lecturing the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Infrastructure on how our justice system works, but it is ridiculous that the Prime Minister of Albania is accused of being both the commander of the new justice system and its victim. If it were as he says, then Edi Rama would have his counterpart in Albania, Belinda Balluku, who has also been Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure. Rama cannot be accused of simultaneously having power over the justice system and failing to protect the counterpart of this “hawk” from North Macedonia.
Therefore, it was not worth it for the embassy to react by treating this issue as an internal political war.
This is a typical case of racism against Albanians in Macedonia and not against Albania, because in Albania they have not yet adapted to the name of the neighboring republic, which is often similar to Albanian refugees in Greece who are forced to change their name once every ten years.
The attempt to humiliate Albanians in Macedonia by creating parallels with justice in Albania, by a party that has not yet solved its problems with justice since the time of the former FYROM, then of the former Macedonia and now the Republic of North Macedonia, shows what a primitive republic the Albanians live in there, also through their own fault. And their biggest fault is that the constitutional achievements secured with weapons in hand, by lowering their "pants" in front of the descendants of this type, were handed over with the support of Albin Kurti to the power of these racists.
Racism against Albanians in the former Yugoslavia has forced Serbia to abandon Kosovo and Skopje in order to recognize them as state-forming elements. I hope that the history of 2001 will not be repeated in Skopje, because in such desperate situations, when justice is decided by war, the ugly trials of Albania and Skopje seem like paradise.
