This week, the decision of US President Donald Trump to maintain in force four executive orders of the two previous presidents, namely President Bush Jr. (2001-2009) and President Biden (2020-2024), in which a state of national emergency was declared against the dangers of the Balkan pattern, was published in the US.
In President Trump’s assessment, the actions of individuals who threaten international peace and stability efforts in the Western Balkans continue to pose an unusual and extremely serious threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States.
For this reason, the national emergency declared in the previous orders “should continue in effect beyond June 26, 2025. I am therefore extending it for one year,” he concluded.
So what are the previous executive orders in essence? Those of President Bush Jr. in 2001 and 2003 declared a state of national emergency in connection with the unusual and extremely serious threats from extremist individuals and groups in the countries of the former Yugoslavia...
In 2021, President Biden expanded Bush's order geographically to Albania and thematically to corruption, describing high corruption as a phenomenon that, like terrorism and extremism, constitutes a threat to American national security. And to democracy in these countries.
This order from Mr. Biden has shaped the strong US support for SPAK and GJKKO to this day.
Towards the end of his term in January of this year, President Biden reissued his order, adding to the list of risks the phenomenon of evading US sanctions in these countries.
Trump renewed these orders as they are.
Everyone knows that President Trump has revoked many of President Biden's orders.
But not those that have to do with the pillars of democracy and national security. Which are inherited, enriched, strengthened depending on the magnitude of the dangers they must overcome. This is the USA. This is the American state-building that is preserved as a sacred value with the corresponding innovations from one administration to the next.

Thanks to the strong resistance of the plural caste of solidarity corrupted over the years, which leaves no means unexploited to weaken and evade justice. But also because of the slowness of the new justice bodies in finalizing investigations and judicial processes.
