A great tragedy where the Democratic Party has degraded under the leadership of Sali Berisha. At least, until 2021 throughout Albania, but especially in Berat, since I was very close to the local branch of this party, people were 'fighting' with each other to run, and now no one is taking on the role of running, even despite huge monetary promises and numerous prayers.
And as if to put a lid on all this nonsense, they are running in Berat from the DP a ridiculous figure.
Neither less nor more than a person who makes you laugh. But not like in the case of Binaj in Tirana, who is an actor and is also 'normal', but this one from Berat makes you laugh with everything he says, everything he does, all the poses he takes. It's a big mistake!
I repeat, I know the situation of the DP in Berat. It could not be worse. But since evil has no side or path, no end or end, this candidacy is precisely ridiculous.
They say to this man, "God forbid you tell us!"
Of course, Berisha cannot be specifically to blame for Berat, because he is part of the greater blame, of the greater climate that has been created in that DP and in the entire opposition, but leaving Berat to the choice of another ridiculous figure like Enno Bozdo would end in such candidacies.
The Democratic Party in Berat has had a mayor, a lady respected by the entire city like Milika Jaho. There have been candidates in difficult times like 2001 for the municipality of Dhor Gjoku, in 2003 there was doctor Mehmet Xheka, in 2007 there was economist Sali Hoxha, in 2015 there was Kasëmi and in 2023 there was Zijana.
Despite their problems, the good and the bad like everyone else in this world, they were all serious people. You couldn't say that any of them were funny.
Meanwhile, the degradation of the DP has reached such a level that, in the absence of a normal figure, it chooses ridiculous candidates that embarrass not only the right, but the entire city.
And then they ask why the DP doesn't win in Berat. Why is the government in this region defeating us?
How could he not, while you put up funny pictures, the SP itself and choose the best guy the city has as a candidate.
While you probably denounce politics in the 2025 general elections, you yourself attack the very doctor and the most humane man the city has, just because he is a hospital director from the SP. And who? People who have nothing to do with Berat.
I knew, in fact, that no one was taking on the role of running for the Berat Democratic Party, but I couldn't imagine it coming to this point. Too bad and, above all, too shameful!
