Can people be held in prison without a court order?
I saw that Italian government lawyers are preparing to confront the judiciary and the European Court of Justice (ECJ) with an emergency meeting tomorrow at 18:00 to determine who are safe countries or not according to the criteria set by the ECJ.
But looking closely at this matter and the photos of the camp, I have 3 questions for them and the Italian Embassy in Tirana:
1. Is this a prison?
2. Can people be kept in prison, without a court decision, just for the fact that they have fled persecution from their countries of origin?
3. Is an isolated and guarded center where persecuted people are kept locked up without trial except for their identity not otherwise defined as a concentration camp?
