The "Basha" case or the "Berisha" precedent are very few examples of change in the PD, either with the problems they have brought to the country but also with the chaos they have sown in the PD...
The winner of the International Booker Prize 2023, Georgi Gospodinov, has two books translated in Tirana. One is called "Natural Novel" (Poeteka) and was translated by Janka Selimi, while the other book is titled "Physics of Sadness" (Albas), translated by Milena Selimi. Apart from the contemporaneity of the publication and the intuition of the two publishing houses, nothing else has done the award in Tirana. A few years ago, Ismail Kadare was one of the winners of the IBP, but again the impact was not that great. The reason is obvious: our writer has come close to the big "Nobel" prize without being able to get it, despite the constant running. In quite a few cases, he was even attacked with letters from his compatriots, who, on principle, suffocated him with nationalist rhetoric. After that, Kadare was forced several times,
The case of the most famous contemporary Balkan writer Gospodinov is already a miracle, which is being felt not only in his country but everywhere. At the fair a few days ago in Sofia, his Spanish translator Maria Vútova, referred to "El Pais", would tell, he took part in a book signing that had so many people that the police had to take seriously the queue (often spoiling it) until the fair was over. However, Gospodinov's readers did not give up trying to get his signature. Bulgaria has been inspired more than once by the case of Gospodinov. The whole country has found a great motive.
And, we came in our time. The efforts of men of letters or intellectuals have often been unsuccessful in Albania. Kadare, the predecessor of Gospodinov, addressed in 2011 the candidate for mayor at the time, Basha. Here we present the first part of his public letter: "Mr. Lulzim Basha, seriously worried, like most Albanians inside and outside the country, I am sending you this open letter, hoping that maybe it can help solve the collapse of suddenly in which not only the state, but the entire Albanian nation is found.
There is no need to dwell here on the serious consequences of this collapse, starting from the shaking of democracy and the calendar of internal life, up to the risk of new isolation of the country, which would be fatal today for both Albanian states in Balkans.
Based on this, I hope you will understand my message correctly, which from the perspective of the Albanian political class may seem wrong politically, strategically, tactically, etc., etc. but from another point of view, from the high interests of the country, the republic and the nation, it would be fair and correct.
As a politician and as an official, you have recently found yourself in the center of a cyclone, which could not only block the progress of the Albanian nation, but also set it back many years in history. There is no need here to remind you how irreparable and unforgivable this evil will be...".
It is not known who wrote Basha's letter of return, in which he refused, but the country knew a great, double disappointment, the election being left with such a rumored result; disregarding the opinion of a literary thinker like Kadare. Today, Basha wants to return to the part of the Democratic (Legal) Party, which has lost its identity for a long time and has been suffering without its leader for almost a year after his resignation. We are not talking about the Democratic Party (Reestablishment), which does not know any results and is already fighting (sometimes not without the right) to delegitimize the elections. Unfortunately, in an unreasonable sense of time, since the CEC is also certifying the part of the complaint and in the end the public will wait for the developments of the Reestablishment DP, which are finally known: Rama stole our elections and stop the massacre election!
A mundet Shqipëria të nxjerrë falë një personazh të tillë: nga kultura, sporti, mendimi që të jetë mbi palët dhe të frymëzojë? Për fatin e keq është e pamundur. Këtë mund ta bënte një desident mëndjekthjellët apo mbase një president të përmasave si Haveli ose mendimtarë të tillë pa kompleks si: disidenti çek Jaroslav Šabata, George Konrád, apo Milan Kundera.
Sa i përket rastit të Shqipërisë, yni, nuk mund të ishte rasti i ngjashëm me vendet e Europës Lindore dhe Qendrore. Në Shqipërinë socialiste, desidentin, në rastin më “të mirë” e priste burgu, në atë “më normal”, pushkatimi. Por, jemi në një kohë kur mendimi ndryshe, është themeli që e mban dhe diferencon demokracinë por edhe jep fizionominë e një pushteti demokrat. Dhe, kur shikon sesi vlerësohet mendimi ndryshe, njeriu i letrave apo si nderohen shkrimtarët dhe artistët, atëherë kupton se në çfarë niveli jemi. Por edhe pse ai mendimi i ngulitur, që socializmi të hiqte kokën, kur shikon këtë realitet të bën të mendosh se diçka çalon tek ne. Të mjafton të shikosh përçarjen te PD-ja, pamundësinë e gjenerimit të ideve të bashkimit dhe përpunimit të një oferte për të sjellë ndryshime. Të mjafton përçmimi për çdo personazh që ka ide dhe mendime ndryshe, apo dhuna, si ajo e Janarit 2022, të kuptosh, se modeli që mund të frymëzojë është gati hipotetike. Në një rast të tillë, pak orë më parë, deputetja Açka, do ta shprehte kështu krizën: “Ndërkohë që ju hynit në paradhomat e kryeministrave si langonj për ndonjë teke uiski a për t’i kërkuar ta emëronte shef kadastre ndonjë bashkēfshatarin tuaj, unë lexoja poezi shqipe tribunave të botës, duke i shitur botës Shqipërinē e bukur.
Ju jeni bashkëfajtorë në shkatërrimin e Opozitës shqiptare me oportunizmin tuaj, me flirtet tuaja, me paturpësinë tuaj.Ndaj, për shkak të asaj frike kanunore a korruptive me të cilën jeni mēsuar të mbijetoni, nuk guxoni të përmendni emrin e ndonjë burri me të cilin keni besë, apo të përmendni emrin e ndonjë burri me të cilin, a me të cilët Lulzim Basha po u ktheka në parti…”.
Rasti “Basha” apo precedenti “Berisha” janë shumë pak shembuj për ndryshim te PD-ja, qoftë me problematikën që i kanë sjellë vendit por edhe me kaosin, që kanë mbjellë tek PD-ja. Problem tashmë është harresa dhe mbi të gjitha fakti që: në këtë errësirë është e pamundur në Shqipëri të kemi besim tek një njeri, cilido qoftë ai. Gospodinov në 10 ditët e fundit e ka trandur Bullgarinë, duke u sjellë krenarinë e madhe që mund të sjellë impakti i letërsisë së birit të tyre, ashtu si ka treguar dhe fuqinë e njeriut të mirë, që mund të sjelli ndryshim, të paktën në mentalitet përmes të vërtetave. Mbase kjo mund të jetë një udhë ndryshimi edhe te PD, por fatkeqësisht të ardhurit ose ata që mëtojnë të vinë, më shumë e bëjnë për protagonizëm, ndërsa të tjerë duken të boshtë dhe patetikë, ndaj fashitet edhe zëri i intelektualëve. Ermonela Jahon e kanë sulmuar me ç’kanë mundur qoftë dhe për një masterclass, ashtu si të tjerë, që as nuk provojnë të rikthehen në vend.
Romani “Time Shelter” që mori çmimin e madh në Britani ka në qendër të librit një personazh, Gaustine, i cili krijon një lloj klinike për njerëzit që humbasin kujtesën. Brenda institucionit, në çdo dhomë riprodhohen dekada të ndryshme të historisë: vitet 1960, 1980, etj. “Humbja e kujtesës është një nga frikërat që më prek më shumë, që prek më shumë shoqërinë… prandaj shkruaj për të. Unë supozoj se është një frikë që do të jetë më e fortë në shoqëritë që po plaken gjithnjë e më shumë, ku ne duam të jetojmë për një kohë të gjatë e më gjatë”, shpjegon Gospodinov. “Çmimi i gjithë kësaj është kujtesa”.
The appearance of a man who can gather the DP in our case does not come from outside. Let's respect the memory. It is impossible for Albania to go anywhere with its intellectual resources. The few people who are out there and have value are exploited by the politics of the day. In short: DP has the opportunity to return to memory and above all to the values that once raised and kept it in power. Until today, it can be seen that the memory has been lost, and it is impossible for a Gospodinov-type man to come to our level, because even if he is one, he will have the first place in Rama's podcast.
