There have been 11 Albanian cities where the Independence Flag has been raised. Just one day before Vlora, on November 27, 1912, the flag was raised in Durrës.
This was the 111th year of the state's Independence. The superstitious, in the morning on their phones marked 11.11 and the 11th month of the year. Others did not know more than they knew why they wished and why they wrote with pathos. Some 'O Albanians' write their congratulations in broken Albanian; such as one on a flag and a cup of coffee: 'You Beft Mir'; the others 'drunk worse'. We celebrate holidays, like yesterday's Independence Day, and most of the time people hide under the holiday hummus. Nationalist holidays are like the early photography of the Skenderbeu studio where people go and take their 'negative'.
That was a time when a 'Skenderbeu photo' was not just a family memory, it was more of a patriotic 'passport', the 'Skenderbeu' stamp was put on the back or even in the frame of the family photo. Why else do Kosovar leaders come to Vlora?, except to get the 'stamp' that we were for the nation!. While the 'negative', that is, the film washed in solutions, most never showed it, because it seemed to them like 'someone else'. Now that there is no more Studio Skënderbeu, people are really alienated in nationalist parties and explosions. There in the crowd, when everyone is waving flags and singing songs that don't make much sense, they are 'others': They don't recognize their own defects, they don't recognize their neighbors' patriotism, they don't recognize the state's architecture; and, they don't even want to know the truth. The festive crowd is like a river that won't even know the truth anymore...
That history is such that, if it is remembered, the patriots have to spend their lives 'with a spoon in the belt', that is, from one holiday to another. Fortunately, pre- and post-communist politics put the spear of the flag in Vlora; but he could have also put it in Shijak. If it was the 'Independence of Shijak', it would not be called Vjosa, but Erzeni as a river 'big between Independence'. The 'Shijak' Television itself would be national television... Even Vlora as such a beautiful touristic city would not have it; in his place would be Shijak with the Duke's chicken totem. But the beauty is that independence was really proclaimed before Vlora, in several cities, by people who "needed the idea". In the city of Shkodra, Chun Mulaj, the flag bearer of Hoti, raised the national flag among 2,500 men on April 19, 1880. Also in Korça, according to this model, 1,000 men gathered for the flag; but Athanas Themeli was killed, as 'Chun Mulaj of Korça' told me. There have been 11 Albanian cities where the Independence Flag has been raised. Just one day before Vlora, on November 27, 1912, the flag was raised in Durrës.
Even the highlanders of Mirdita, Dibra, Puka and Arbëria declared their independence in 1911. Not in the city, because there was no city in the slopes of Puka and Mirdita, but in a village; the village is called Kimëz, and the 'Përtashme' government was also called the government of Kimëz.
Again the number '11' appears on the scanner. The year 1911, 11 cities with flags, and now the 111th year of Independence. The superstitious consider 11 as a 'cursed number', together with the number 13, 17, etc. The number 11 is bad for the fate of our country. I believe that the number '111', which is this year, will separate the Albanian state from the 'curse of numbers'. The Albanian state is now on the verge of joining the EU, it is the chairman of the UN SC together with America; it is a beauty revealed to the world; it is a state that gives security but does not beg for it; it's a country full of crazy people, especially in politics, but they don't care about them (!).
There will be no more '11'.
Then even the celebrants of the 'hell' type won't hide so much from themselves and won't look for the past 'negative'. The negative of the old photo makes us stick our heads under the school desk and under the bread table. Like today 11 years ago, on November 28, 2012, the country, so vulgar, celebrated Independence with a cake in front of the Palace of Culture. The cake was 550 square meters in area and about 1 meter thick. (According to the superstitious, 5+5+1 = 11). In the cake the leader of the state dipped the shovel first..., after him came the crowds with basins, buckets, shovels, pitchforks, drums, aprons... Since that day, in the cake of dimensions 5+5+1=11, the idea of the head of state "with pitchforks and shovels" was born. The year 1911 (ie 19+11) had been the most tragic year for the state.
That day the Albanian state suffered the most terrible deformation; that day, on January 21 (10+11), the state killed four innocent citizens. That day, the 'red and black' state was forever blackened and put on the world's few list as a 'killer state'. This year, efforts are being made to free the state from the monster that killed its citizens on January 21. What we need to do is that before we celebrate again, we should first avoid the number '11', and then the authors of the curse of the state themselves. As do other nations.
A decade after September 11, 2001, the famous movie 11/11/11 was released in America. Supernatural horror film written and directed by Darren Lynn Bousman. The film takes place at 11:11 on the 11th day of the 11th month and is about an entity from another world entering the earthly realm through the 11th gate of Heaven. The film was shown in 17 cinemas in the country on November 11, 2011. Even the Bulgarians have ruled out one of the cursed dates. Mobitel of Bulgaria has excluded the number 0888 888 888. Three people who used this number lost their lives. Even in ancient Greece, the name of the arsonist of Athens was denied. This was the punishment. Even in our country we must set limits to evil.
