Dear citizens of Kuçova, friends and compatriots across Albania.
Today, we are faced with a bitter reality: when we denounce the truth and demand justice, the government responds with threats and pressure.
The Mayor of Kuçovë, Kreshnik Hajdari, has filed a lawsuit against me, lawyer Arben Llangozi, and honest citizen Arben Polisi, because we dared to denounce a shocking scandal: the opening of mass graves in our city's cemeteries.
This action is nothing more than an open attempt to intimidate and silence voices demanding transparency.
Instead of providing explanations and taking responsibility for what is happening in Kuçova, the Mayor has chosen the path of trials and legal persecution against those who refuse to turn a blind eye.
This is a pure attempt to instill fear, distort reality, and suppress any criticism of him and the administration he leads.
We ask: Why does a mayor feel the need to put his citizens on trial just because they are seeking the truth? Why does he choose the path of silence and concealment, instead of coming out publicly and accounting for his actions?
This is not simply an attack on me and Arben Polis. This is an attempt to silence every critical voice in this city and establish a culture of fear where no one dares to speak out.
But let it be clear to everyone: WE WILL NOT BE SILENT!
As a lawyer, as a citizen of this country, and as a man who believes in justice, I will not back down in the face of these attempts to intimidate me. I will continue to defend the rights of citizens and denounce any abuse of power.
We demand transparency, we demand accountability, and above all, we demand justice!
We live in a country that should be democratic, where the right to speech and the truth cannot be punished.
Attempts to silence us and silence us will not succeed. The more they threaten us, the stronger we will become!
The truth will prevail!
