The flag bearer of Theth threatened the state that with a whistle he would bring Kukes, Has, Rome, Brussels, Berlin and New York armed against Albania.

The theater was starting, sometime in the afternoon. The actors, some more theatrical than others, were arriving. Until they gathered on the "stage" coming from the village road, one by one they were with lowered heads, repentant. When they gathered on the stage they stood up. This is the theatrical game.

Even the scene was invented from that time that never returns. The church in the background, an old plane tree with wide branches, the trunk of the ancient tree and some crosses in the cemetery. These people thought that by turning back time they would invent a new planetary time. This has not happened and cannot happen on this planet.

Those who were going to play the 'tragedy' started with a comedy. A man wearing a priest's collar appeared scared in front of everyone. Sometimes afraid of Shoshi and Shala's Catholicism that they would expel him and they would no longer go to mass, sometimes afraid of those who had invited him for the 'play'. If they did not like the play, then he would not be rewarded. The priest was playing theater in the occupied churchyard; he had become a sidekick to the occupiers.

The comedy continued after the village priest. A priest in Shkodra, who said he was Vlash Pali, was asking the state to shake up the highlanders of Theth. He insulted them, but who knows how much they understood. He asked the state to use lullabies to 'put them to sleep once, twice, three times... if they don't sleep, never let them sleep!'. I had never thought of a more mercenary priest, I was ashamed to have ever gone to church.

Then priest Pali took the comic game further. He found himself unable to say anything good, and turned to a Muslim for help. 'I want Faik Konica here to curse Albanians as he knows how to curse,' he said. But Dom Pali would get the ransom from the committee. Just like in socialist realism films where the priest collaborates with criminals.

The theater was missing a great figure of art, Ramiz Kovaçi. Muslim for Muslim, the Catholics of the theater in Theth would rather call on the great actor, Kovaçi, who played theater with 'our land', than Konica.

A man came on stage and gave the floor to the flag bearer. Are there still real flag bearers or fossils? When the young people see it in the video, they will be confused. Do you remember the "Bajraktar" drones that come from Turkey? Other flag bearers are unknown in the last two centuries. The flag bearer, who appeared as a relic without a personal name, seemed to be from another musty time. He threatened the law, the state, the people and the Republic, according to an ugly scenario; half of the teeth were missing from the flag bearer's mouth like a discarded comb. The flag bearers of their century, somewhere around 18-19, ordered by the Tanzimat, were handsome, handsome men and were elected like a horse: With all their teeth in their mouths.

The flag bearer of Theth threatened the state that with a whistle he would bring here Kukes, Has, Rome, Brussels, Berlin and New York armed against Albania. We will wage war!, he said. Perhaps today he is in prison for calling against the Constitutional order.

"Because not even the Turks conquered us!" he said, forgetting that his title was a Turkish title, bajraktar.

Short theater, but a lot of anger in the oak tree's butt in Theth. They left quickly. They could have staged the whole night, but no one was watching them. From Tirana and Shkodra, no one is afraid or reacting. Apparently no one understands their language, it is a language dead in time. For centuries, Albania has been using the language of law and justice. Especially now that the state has entered the most modern era and speaks the language of Europe.

Who understands these people? Nobody.

In their area there is a story from a hundred years ago. The captain had lost his authority among the people, he didn't even want to go to the wedding. He sent his adjutant, Pjetër Lleshi, to the last wedding.

-How can I go, Captain? I can't go to your place.

"Go watch!" the superior said.

-No one loves me there, no one takes me to the camp?

-Go like me, come out on top of the country- the captain told him. If they did not go into the room, he shouted in a loud voice: “Buuuuv men, Pjetër Lleshi on top of the country!” (He to himself).

But still no one whistled at him. The men continued to talk in their own language.

Here in Theth, theater with a dead language is ending.
