We Albanians are known for being late even at funerals, let alone at voting.

A total of 217 thousand voters in emigration have received the envelope from the CEC to date, at the addresses they provided when they registered to vote. But only 1/3 of them (32.4% to be exact) have sent their vote to the CEC to date. Meanwhile, there are still about 29 thousand who have not yet received the envelope, but who will receive it in the coming days (DHL is being paid about 30 million euros to perform this service, damn it…)

Until May 11, the question is how many of the 246,000 emigrants registered to vote with the CEC will cast their ballots.

We Albanians are known for being late even at funerals, let alone at voting. That's why the CEC should add temporary employees by May 11, because the flow of votes coming from emigration could increase significantly in the last days before the elections.

My preliminary prediction is that somewhere around 200,000 votes will come from emigration, out of the 70,000 that have arrived so far. Intense voter turnout is expected in the next 10 days…
