Electronic voting and the 8pm nightmare

Sali Berisha cannot psychologically bear that the elections end at 19:00 and at 20:00 Albania finds out that he has lost.

Sali Berisha has asked to cancel the electronic voting in the two districts determined by the CEC, after the request of the Socialist Party and some other small parties, to add the District of Tirana.

Berisha's argument is that electronic voting is manipulable.

In fact, the truth has shown that in those cases that it was used partially, as in the administrative unit No. 10 Tirana, or in Kamzë, Vorë and Elbasan in the municipality, he not only turned out to be 100 percent correct from the re-verifications, but also escaped corruption and the electoral process.

Electronic voting eradicates the race of tellers, who are the most implacable enemies of minor parties, and further the abusive commissioners, who have become a financial and moral cost to elections.

If possible, Albania should switch to electronic voting in order to free the new actors from the power of the two major parties over the commissioners and counters and above all, to end the psychological debates about the winner two days after the elections.

Albania is the only country in the world where elections do not end after voting, but after a few days, when the counting ends. Until then, Albania is ready to burn from the delusions of the real and the imaginary winner.

Berisha DP's request is about this very moment. Sali Berisha cannot psychologically bear that the elections end at 19:00 and at 20:00 Albania finds out that he has lost.

He needs two or three days of instability, calls for war, calls for stolen votes, etc.

What happened to him in Kamze where he lost by 60 percent and asked for the electronic votes to be verified embarrassed him, as it turned out that every voting ticket was verifiable and was the same as the official result. If in the ordinary voting every box that is opened turns out one or several wrong votes, there were none. And he remained without argument.

Now he can no longer bear the repetition of this punishment immediately after the elections in Durrës, Tirana and Elbasan, which is actually half of Albania.

He knows that he is being declared lost there so quickly, all his commissioners throughout Albania can neither act like thugs nor like winners, but put their tails in the saddle and accept the result.

There he dies the last battle of "civil disobedience".

This is the reason that, as Lulzim Basha also says, he threw his ten-year PD battle for electronic voting in the trash today, as he cannot accept that his votes be counted by someone who is not afraid of him, such as the computer.

That's all.

The CEC should not only ignore the request, but if possible, it should go towards deepening the constituencies with electronic voting. Albania should even set itself a target of 100 to 100 electronic voting in the next elections.

It is the only way for the elections to have integrity, quick results and the pre-election infrastructure of commissioners, counters and observers, which is a paid army even under arms, to melt and release energy for new actors who enter the elections and have not financial opportunity.

Berisha's PD is a minority and does not represent the entire opposition. If he is afraid of computers, let him not enter the election and let him announce the victory under the window. Albania, which is not afraid of computers or Berisha, must look ahead.
