An incident involving gunfire took place this morning in the area called Peristeri in Athens.
According to the information, the incident happened at 02:20 in the morning on Dodekanision street.
It is learned that the people who shot were in an "Audi" type vehicle, while the target was a "Smart" type vehicle.
A 22-year-old Albanian, who was the passenger of Smart, was wounded in the thigh by the shooting.
The Smart driver left the 22-year-old covered in blood and disappeared. The young man was then taken to the hospital where he is receiving medical assistance.
The Greek police have launched investigations to find the two cars and their passengers after collecting information about the two vehicles.
It is known that the 22-year-old who was shot with a firearm was released from prison on Monday, while the perpetrator of the attack is 26 years old.
It turns out that Dijonis Kapllani was released from prison yesterday after being convicted for criminal organization and drug trafficking. Also in 2022, together with other people, he shot with a firearm at the vehicle of a Greek citizen due to a personal dispute.
From the police investigations so far, it is suspected that the person who injured the 22-year-old Dhjonisi Kapllani is a 26-year-old Greek with the last name Filanthropopoulos, who has a criminal record.
On June 30, 2021, the young man was caught together with 3 other Albanians with 2 kg 30 grams of cocaine, 5 kg 461 grams of marijuana and 31 grams of cannabis.
