Journalist Artan Hoxha has given details of the sniper execution of Gëzim Sinomat, the son of Sokol Sinomat, who was killed on the balcony of the apartment while smoking a cigarette.
Hoxha, invited to the show "The Unexposed", said that Gëzim Sinomati had no connection with the world of crime and that he grew up with his mother, divorced from his imprisoned father.
He added that the young man was killed by a sniper, due to the conflicts of his imprisoned father, a story in the city of Vlora, which according to the journalist has produced many victims.
" This is the worst possible event, showing the level of organized crime for the year we have just started. It's a typical mafia murder, with a pretty structured organization. It is one of those high-cost events, from the way it was organized, the tools used, the executors and the objective they had.
This event and its consequences have just reignited a very big conflict in Vlora, which for several years turned Vlora into the most problematic city in Albania. This battle also led to a large number of kidnapped, tortured and disappeared persons, who do not even have corpses. This event may serve SPAK to bring you back to events that occurred in 2016 and beyond. It culminated in the murder of Edison Harizaj. The 22-year-old is the son of Sokol Sinomat.
The boy has done nothing in his life, he was killed because he is the son. Sokol Sinomati was a member of the Gaxhai gang. The most culminating event was the attack on the police station in Vlora, when they went to take the armored vehicle and killed the Rrapaj policeman.
Over the years, the group broke up, Sokol Sinomati left. He was extradited to Albania then in 2009. He was released from prison in 2017. He was arrested in Belgium. I spoke with him after the assassination.
Gezimi has done nothing in his life, he was killed only because he is the son of Sokol Sinomat. He grew up with his mother, who was divorced from his father. He attended higher studies, had no criminal past and bears the name of his uncle who was killed in 1997. He came to Albania a month ago, because his grandmother had died. Then came the new year. His father will be released from prison in a few days.
The victim lost his life only because he has the surname Sinomatin. If he didn't come from Belgium, maybe he would live. They had no other choice, because the family members of Sokol Sinomat were protected.
The method of execution was found in a form that I last saw in Elbasan against Florenc Capja and in Durres... The conflict involving the victim's father and the other group is very large and has resulted in many victims. SPAK has the opportunity, from this event, to investigate the kidnappings and disappearances of Albano Xhaferri and Ervis Troqe, who were kidnapped as soon as they arrived from Belgium. At that time, Sokol Sinomati was in Belgium. Only the shipping industry is able to financially cope with these types of attacks ," said Hoxha.
