Other details from the criminal past of Sokol Mjacaj, who carried out an execution inside the prison, are revealed.
Mjacaj counts four murders together with the victim of this Friday. Sokol Mjacaj was sentenced to 4 years in prison for killing a minor in 2010. When he committed the crime, Mjacaj himself was a minor.
A month after his release from prison for this incident, he executed two Czech tourists - a married couple - in Prekal, Dukagjini.
The second murder happened eight years ago, when Mjacaj was 20 years old. He claimed in his testimony at the time that he intended to rob the car of the Czech tourists, but shot them because he was afraid they would take his gun.
On July 3, 2015, Sokol Mjaçaj, residing in the village of Lotaj, decided to go out on the streets to rob a car with tourists in the Dukagjin area. He took with him the machine gun and two magazines that he kept at home, and put them in a sports bag.
The Nissan Patrol type vehicle, gray in color, with Czech license plate CZ 4P89798, passed there, with the victims Michal Svatos and Anna Kosinova as passengers. Mjacaj greeted the citizens in question, and then asked them (using signs) to take him in the car, but the driver signaled to him that there was no room and did not take him, trying to continue the movement with car. Yes, he was able to enter more forcefully.
This made the victim Michal Svatos nervous, who got the defendant off the vehicle. At this moment, the defendant Sokol Mjaçaj took out the machine gun from the bag and shot several times in the air, forcing the victim to stop the vehicle. After entering the vehicle, the defendant sat behind the passenger and the driver, holding the loaded machine gun, with cartridges in the slot, in the direction of the two victims. Also, at the moment he got into the vehicle, he took the mobile devices from these citizens, so that they did not have the opportunity to report this fact, planning to rob them as soon as he approached the area called "Ura e Strenjte" ”, since from this area it was easier to leave in different directions. Around evening, when the vehicle approached the area called "Stiff Bridge", Michal Svatos made several maneuvers with the vehicle.
For this reason, Mjacaj, thinking that the victim Michal Svatos, with these actions wanted to take the machine gun, shot this citizen twice with a firearm and then shot the passenger Anna Kosinova once, causing her death. immediate.
