A fire has broken out in a multi-storey building in the "Gjevdet Nepravishta" neighborhood, near the Lushnja hospital. The flames were initially detected by residents, who, after noticing the smoke, immediately notified the fire department.
The rapid intervention of the Lushnja fire brigade made it possible to isolate the flames in the third-floor apartment, avoiding the spread to other apartments.
The police are also at the scene, working to fully clarify the circumstances. According to preliminary information, it is suspected that the owner of the apartment, around 40 years old, set fire to several areas of the apartment and then left.
According to police sources, the 40-year-old man is suspected of having mental health problems. Efforts are currently underway to find him, as he fled after setting fire to his apartment.
