A fatal accident in Fier-Shegan was recorded on the Lushnje-Berat road axis.
A "Benz" type vehicle, with license plate AB929MT, is reported to have fatally hit a 55-year-old pedestrian.
The 55-year-old, who has not yet been identified, was unable to survive his injuries, even though he was urgently transported by ambulance to the Lushnja hospital.
Traffic police at the scene to document the incident.
It is reported that the driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old man, has been detained and work is underway to clarify the causes, dynamics and circumstances.
