A 51-year-old man has been extradited from Germany to our country.
51-year-old Sokol Ndrekaj was declared wanted after the Tirana Court sentenced him to 6 years in prison for the criminal offenses of "Aid for illegal border crossing" and "Removal of a prisoner from his place of residence."
"Following the international operation codenamed "The Wanted", the extradition from Germany to our country of Albanian citizen Sokol Ndreka, 51 years old, was finalized.
This citizen was declared internationally wanted, after the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, in 2024, sentenced him to 6 years in prison for the criminal offenses of "Aid for illegal border crossing" and "Removal of a prisoner from his place of residence".
Event summary:
On 31.10.2022, on the Tirana-Durres secondary road, 15 foreign citizens (illegal immigrants) were caught in a vehicle.
The investigations revealed that citizen Sokol Ndreka was involved in the illegal activity of trafficking immigrants.
"As a result of the cooperation of Interpol Tirana with Interpol Wiesbaden/Germany, his arrest in Germany was made possible, finalizing his extradition to our country ," the police announced.
