A tragic accident occurred this afternoon in Saranda, where a police officer died, while two others were seriously injured.
According to the blue uniforms, the vehicle left the road and ended up in a side ditch, where as a result, an officer with the initials EM, about 47 years old, also lost his life.
"Today, at around 12:00, on the Borsh-Fterrë road, the driver of a Toyota vehicle is suspected of having lost control of the vehicle and as a result, has left the road, ending up in a side ditch.
Three citizens were traveling in the vehicle, specifically RX, V. Th., and EM, about 47 years old (police officer), the latter died at the scene as a result of the injuries he sustained. The other two citizens were taken to the hospital, in serious condition.
"The investigation team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident, as well as determine the driver of the vehicle at the time of the incident," the police announced.
