A road accident occurred yesterday afternoon on the Spathari Bridge in Vau i Dejës, where a vehicle ended up in the lake.
The police announced that they have arrested the driver of the vehicle, citizen Zef Buçaj, 32 years old . It is learned that he lost control and as a result the vehicle collided with the metal barriers of the Spathari bridge and fell into Lake Vau i Dejës.
Meanwhile, three people were injured in the accident, with the driver of the vehicle and 24-year-old Ndok Çokaj receiving treatment at the Shkodra Regional Hospital, while Arol Nikaj, 22 , was sent for specialized treatment at the Trauma Hospital.
"Following the preliminary information provided yesterday, regarding the accident that occurred on the "Mjedë-Spathar" road axis, we inform that road traffic specialists arrested citizen ZB, 32 years old, in flagrante delicto, after he lost control of his vehicle while driving and as a result the vehicle collided with the metal barriers of the Spathar bridge and fell into Lake Vau i Dejës.
The driver of the vehicle and the passenger, citizen N. Ç., 24 years old, resident of Laç, are receiving treatment at the Shkodra Regional Hospital, while the other passenger, citizen AN, 22 years old, resident of Laç, was sent for specialized treatment at the Trauma Hospital , the Shkodra police announced.
