The Police Officer, Adelion Vila, apparently has not found any reliable alibi for his involvement in the several-hour "disappearance" from the Port of Durres of a container of bananas, ordered by the "Zico Company" (Bana King), in the afternoon of December 8, 2023.
The 27-year-old, who held the position of assistant control specialist at the Durrës Border Directorate, told the investigators that " he had followed the container, (outside the Port, ed.), as he thought about something else later, which means financial benefit ".
Vila was caught by security cameras, accompanying with his vehicle a truck driven by 56-year-old Durim Halka, who illegally took out a container of "Bana King".
" All this had been an experiment for something later ", Vila told the investigators, who arrested him, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty".
The police officer refused to have cooperated with other persons. However, the statements of several other persons arrested or questioned as witnesses refute Vila's claims. At least, this is understood from the preliminary investigation file, provided by "Boldnews.al".
The authorities suspect that the 2-3 hour "disappearance" of the container ordered by "Bana-King" and its return to the Port the same afternoon, after it was opened in a parking lot in Shkozet, must be related to the cocaine traffic from Ecuador to Albania .
However, at the moment, investigations have been registered only for abuse of office and smuggling.
After the discovery of the scandal, the Durrsi Police arrested, in addition to their colleague, Adelion Vila, three employees of the concessionary company of the container terminal, "Mariner Adriatic", namely Denis Musaj, Alketa Kallçaku, Egnis Gojani. Meanwhile, the driver who pulled the container, Durim Halka, is wanted.
On 08.12.2023 at around 2:53 p.m., the "Renault" truck with license plate "AA760HL" driven by citizen Durim Halka, entered the Durrës Sea Port and then the Durrës Port Container Terminal, with the aim of towing the container numbered "SEGU944869". ” which belongs to the company “Zico Sh.a”.
His registration at the entrance gate was performed by the operator Alketa Kallçaku, who performed this registration without the relevant documentation.
This is because the driver of the truck did not have a customs practice and authorization from the agency and the company "Zico Sh.a" to withdraw the container.
After loading the container with the number "SEGU944869", at around 16.00 on 08.12.2023, the truck with license plate "AA760HL" left the terminal and then the perimeter of the Durrës Sea Port, where no exit registration was made for it.

The citizen Alketa Kallçaku, with the duty of operator of the entrance gate of the ferry terminal, was questioned in the capacity of the person against whom investigations are being carried out.
She explained that she did not remember the case in question, but as long as she had registered the entry of the vehicle and had compiled the work order for towing the container in the system, the driver of the truck that was going to take the container had the appropriate documentation.
For these cases, the driver had to present the customs declaration and the withdrawal authorization from the relevant office. She further clarified that in no case during her work did she allow trucks to enter the terminal without the proper documentation.
Citizen Egnis Gojani was asked in the capacity of the person being investigated, who, among other things, has stated that he is on duty a beam inspector of the Container Terminal of the Durrës Sea Port.
At the moment when the vehicles arrive from abroad, he is at the last control point of the exit of the vehicles from the port, where he checks the customs documentation and makes sure that the container is the same as what is provided in the documentation presented to him by the customs agent.

Denis Musaj, a citizen with the duty of operator at the entry/exit Gate, was called to appear and give explanations about the event, but this citizen did not go.
