The Prison Directorate has reacted after Altin Ndoc's prison escape.

Altin Ndoci managed to escape from Durres Hospital when he was being escorted to perform several medical examinations.

The statement states that despite the reaction of the Prison Police forces, it was not possible to detain him. Meanwhile, the relevant forces were immediately put into motion with the aim of locating and arresting Altin Ndoc.

"The detainee Altin Ndoci has been removed from the premises of the Durrës Regional Hospital, where he was accompanied for medical visits. All medical procedures were carried out in the infectious diseases ward, which has a security ward for prisoners.

"Despite the immediate intervention of the Prison Police forces to detain him, Altin Ndoci has managed to leave the hospital. The relevant structures were immediately put into motion and intensive work is being done to locate and capture him, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident," the statement said.

He is known for a series of arrests and investigations into drug trafficking, robbery, and murder in Durrës and Fier.

Ndoci became known to the public after the confession of a police collaborator, who revealed his connections in the murder of the two Haxhia brothers in Durrës and the execution of two other people on March 2, 2020, Dorjan Shkoza and Anxhelo Avdia .

According to the police, Altin Ndoci has close ties to criminal groups in the Puka area and is socially connected to other individuals known for serious crimes, such as Arben Muço, arrested in an attempted armed robbery in Fier in 2018. During the investigation, police seized evidence related to his criminal network, including abandoned cars, fingerprints and bloodstains, which linked Ndoc to some of the violent events in the cities of Durrës and Tirana.
