Still no sign of Roland Dedja, who escaped from Castrogno prison at dawn yesterday, September 25. Controls are becoming increasingly tight in Teramo province, including road checkpoints and police patrols to capture the 39-year-old Albanian prisoner, whose photo has been released.
The Albanian was in Abruzzo prison following his arrest in Martinsicuro last June on drug and robbery charges. He was waiting to be judged.
According to internal sources quoted by ANSA, the search started late with the alarm raised after a certain period of time after the disappearance of the Albanian. The 39-year-old would have taken advantage of a defect in the control, taking advantage of the work in the prison and with the mountain rope fixed to the iron railings, he landed with the help of an associate, who gave him the means of escape with a drone.
But Dedja is no stranger to this type of venture. In 2010, he managed to escape from Pisa prison, where he was being held for murder and attempted murder. With him, in that case, there was also another prisoner, with whom they escaped with a sheet. Both were caught a few months later.
