10,000 cannabis roots cost the duty of 4 policemen in the police of Velipoja, Shokdër, between them and the police chief of this police station.
From the preliminary investigations, the Directorate of Professional Standards in the State Police suspended from duty, for non-fulfillment of duties (violation provided for by Article 209/1 of the State Police regulation), 4 police officers: Paulo Prendi, Ardian Culi, Admir Xhaka, Arben Tahiri.
"As a result of the police intelligence, provided by the General Directorate of the State Police, another case of cultivation of narcotic plants, in the territory of the Velipojë administrative unit, is identified and attacked.
10,920 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants that were cultivated in this village are destroyed by burning.
The Directorate of Professional Standards in the State Police set up a special investigation group, to determine the responsibility of the relevant local structures, for the reasons for the non-recording of this criminal activity, by these structures themselves, until these moments.
From the preliminary investigations, the Directorate of Professional Standards in the State Police suspended from duty, for non-fulfillment of duties (violation provided for by Article 209/1 of the State Police regulation), 4 police officers:
- Deputy Commissioner PP, head of the Velipoja Police Station, simultaneously responsible for monitoring the area;
- Deputy Commissioner A. Ç., specialist of the "Eagle" unit, responsible for the territory control area from DVP Shkodër;
- Deputy Commissioner A. Xh., specialist for the investigation of crimes in the area where the narcotic plants were found;
- First AT inspector, assistant specialist (SPZ) in the area where the narcotic plants were found;
The services of the Shkodër Police Station and those of the Velipojë Police Station, after the information sent by the General Directorate of the State Police, have carried out detailed control in the territory of the Velipojë administrative unit.
As a result, 10,920 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants were found to be cultivated. Some of them were seized as material evidence, while the rest was destroyed by burning.
The structures of the Shkodër Local Police Directorate, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, have made it possible to identify the suspected perpetrators of the cultivation of narcotic plants, and work is being done to document their criminal activity with legal evidence.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the Shkodra General Jurisdiction, for further actions, for the criminal offense "Cultivation of narcotic plants".
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Professional Standards in the General Directorate of the State Police continues the in-depth administrative investigation, in order to issue responsibilities related to this case," the police announced.
