A drug trafficking network from Ecuador to EU countries has been busted by the Spanish police in coordination with Europol.
But from the investigation file there is another Albanian name, as an associate of the head of the group, Dritan Gjika, who was declared wanted after the operation.
According to the Spanish media, many of the names mentioned in the report of the former candidate for President, Fernando Villavicencio, executed in August 2023, are part of the "Pampa" file that ended with 31 arrested.
The report also mentions the name of another Albanian, Erjet Strefi.
He is mentioned as known by the nickname "Daja" and declared wanted since 2019 by the Czech Republic.
In October of a year ago, SPAK confiscated Strefi's assets: a two-story villa in Dhërmi, an apartment with an area of 56 m² in Selitë, an apartment with an area of 74 m² in Selitë, arable land with an area of 500 m² in the village of Krutje e Poshtme, and a BME type car.
According to SPAK, the Albanian citizen Erjet Strefi has been declared an international wanted by Interpol in 2019, as in cooperation with other Albanian and foreign citizens, members of an organized criminal group, who operated in the territory of the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of The Netherlands, during the period from June 2016 to September 2016, produced and traded significant amounts of the narcotic methamphetamine.
