Investigations into the execution of Italian businessman Edoardo Sarchi, 44, in the Salaria area of Tepelena, have revealed the true scenario of the event.
According to forensic doctors, Sarchi was not killed immediately by the gunshot. He was initially hit in the head with a hard object, suspected to be wood or a metal rod, immediately losing consciousness.
Only after the victim was down and helpless did the perpetrators shoot him in the leg. The bullet did not kill him immediately, but the massive bleeding, with no possibility of help, proved fatal a few minutes later.
This discovery raises strong suspicions that the perpetrators wanted to neutralize him and let him die slowly, which further increases doubts about the true motive for the crime. Currently, several people who had close contact with the Italian have been questioned several times, but their testimonies are contradictory.
The investigation team is trying to reconstruct the last hours of Sarch's life, while the possibility of revenge or business conflicts is not ruled out.
