Quarrel between brothers-in-law in Tirana, Police react: The perpetrator is

The police have reacted to the gunshot wound that occurred this afternoon in the Kombinat area, in Tirana.

According to the police report, a 56-year-old man was injured by his 46-year-old brother-in-law. It is suspected that the fight between them occurred for weak motives, in the injured man's apartment on "Llambi Bonata" street.

It is reported that during a conflict, perpetrator Misir Tanushi shot his brother-in-law Genci Mullaymeri in the legs, who is in hospital with a non-life-threatening condition. 

The police have arrested the perpetrator, while a 29-year-old man with the initials NS has also been declared wanted as he was in the apartment at the time of the injury.

"He wounded his brother-in-law with a gun, suspected of weak motives. Thanks to the immediate response and professional intervention of the Police services, it was possible to capture and escort the suspected perpetrator to the Police Station."

A 29-year-old man, suspected of involvement in the incident, is also wanted.

The firearm with which the perpetrator committed the injury was seized.

At around 15:40, in the injured party's apartment on "Llambi Bonata" street, it is suspected that during a conflict for weak motives, citizen MT, around 41 years old, wounded his brother-in-law, citizen GM, around 56 years old, with a firearm, who is in hospital, currently out of danger for his life.

After the notification, the services of Police Station No. 6 immediately arrived at the scene, secured the area and intervened to apprehend the perpetrator. Thanks to the quick actions and timely intervention, citizen MT was accompanied to the Police Station for further investigative actions.

Following the actions, efforts are underway to capture citizen NS, 29 years old, who is suspected of being present in the apartment at the time of the incident and then leaving.

"The investigation team continues to work to clarify the circumstances and fully document the event," the police announced.
