New details are emerging from the mysterious death of Italian citizen Edoardo Sarchi, whose body was found near the road in the Dilan area, between Nivica and Salaria. The investigation is taking another turn after contradictory testimonies from the Braçe family, who have been accompanied and questioned several times by the authorities.
The focus of the investigation is Eqerem Braçe and his two sons, Daniel and Gazmend Braçe, who were with the victim on the evening of the incident. According to Pamflet's sources, the family has given not one, but three different versions of what happened.
Initially, they stated that Sarchi was found dead on the side of the road. Later, they changed their story, saying that he was still alive, but was wounded and died in their hands. In the third testimony, they claimed that they were hunting together and were confronted by unknown persons who shot them.
These discrepancies have alarmed the Police and the Prosecution, who have repeatedly questioned the Braçe family, sometimes by the OPGJ, sometimes by Serious Crimes specialists. A fourth person who was with them that night has not yet been questioned, although it is suspected that he may shed light on the incident.
The victim's body has been sent to Tirana for forensic examination. It will be determined whether the wound on the thigh was caused by a firearm or some other means. This detail is key to determining whether we are dealing with murder, a hunting accident or a simulated event.
