Altin Ndoci, arrested by order of SPAK as part of the "Golden Bullet" operation, escaped on Tuesday afternoon from Durres hospital, where he had gone to make several visits.
Preliminary information indicates that Ndoci hit a police officer who was at the door of the room where the detainee was staying and then quickly fled the 3rd floor of the hospital.
There are suspicions that Ndoc's actions were not sporadic, and the investigation team is investigating the incident. Ndoc could have disappeared within a few minutes, while there are suspicions that he was helped by outsiders, who may have ensured his departure from the area.
The Durrës Hospital is very close to the District Police Directorate, while the entire area is monitored by cameras. It is expected that the cameras will shed more light on the dynamics of the event, while the AMP is also engaged in investigating whether or not security measures were implemented.
