The police have revealed the causes of the burning of an officer's car in Lezhë. According to the investigation, the car was deliberately set on fire by two people, who were handcuffed.
From the investigations, it is suspected that the burning of the vehicle was done because of the duty.
" The investigative structures of the Lezhë Police Station, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continued the in-depth investigations to find out the cause of the fire involving the vehicle of the citizen RZ, an officer of the General Patrol, service corps, in the Lezhë Police Station.
As a result of the investigations and evidence provided during the investigation within the coded police operation "Reaction", by the Section for the Investigation of Crimes of the Lezhë Police Station, based on the police intelligence, it became possible to identify and arrest the citizens in flagrante delicto:
– K. Gj., 24 years old and KK, 22 years old, both residents of Lezhë.
These citizens, in cooperation with each other, this morning, it is suspected that because of their duty, they burned the vehicle of the citizen RZ, on duty as an officer of the General Patrol, service corps at the Lezhë Police Station.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë for further actions for the criminal offenses "Intimidation due to duty carried out in collaboration" and "Destruction of property by fire" , the police announced.
