The next hearing for the "Black Eagle" file from "SKY ECC" was held in Belgium, with 40 defendants, Albanians and Colombians, accused of international cocaine trafficking.
The prosecutor requested before the Criminal Court of Brussels, a sentence of 20 years in prison for Alfredo H. and Indrit K. in connection with extensive drug trafficking. The two Albanians are leaders of the criminal organization that raised the traffic.
The prosecutor claimed that the cocaine seizures made during the investigation, opened in 2020, represented an amount of 13.42 million euros. She targeted Alfredo H. as one of the people directing the traffic. He was in contact with the Italian mafia groups established in Limburg, but also with the leaders of another, even more important, organization based in Majorca.
"They implemented real modern business methods. They made a 'joint venture' by sharing resources, manpower, equipment..." , explains the Prosecutor.
Meanwhile, Indrit K. has been targeted by the federal prosecutor as the leader of this cocaine trafficking network. He was arrested in January 2020 in Spain with 440 kilograms of this drug.
According to the prosecutor, both leaders called on other people to act as "observers". Their role was to monitor the arrival of ships in the ports of Antwerp and Ghent. There were also "extractors", who traveled in inflatable canoes equipped with diving equipment to the boats where the target containers were located. In other words, those that contained goods that had to be recovered before customs control.
They also recruited "chemists", or "cooks", most of whom are of Colombian nationality. Their task was to extract cocaine from legally imported products into which the drug had been expertly mixed.
Some of the Albanians mentioned in this process have been previously identified by the media as Artur S., Indrit. K., Arben I., Alfredo H. or the Kosovar Bashkim O., considered among the biggest Albanian 'players' in the cocaine market. In this file, connections with officials in Albania were discovered and other details are expected to emerge in the following sessions.
