A 24-year-old wanted man was arrested by the police after he was sentenced to 3 years and 10 months in prison for assisting illegal border crossing. Fation Fufi, a resident of Laç, was stopped in Rinas while entering Albania.
In 2020, Fufi, in cooperation with two other citizens, transported 15 immigrants from Third Countries with vehicles, against profit.

In implementation of the measures of the operational plan "Rule of law", for the capture of wanted persons, thanks to the exchange of information between DVP Korçë and the Rinas Police Station, and the in-depth interview conducted by the Rinas Border Police, at the entrance of the Republic of Albania , the wanted citizen Fation Fufi, 24 years old, resident of Laç, was arrested.
The Korçë Court of Appeal has decided to uphold the decision dated 02.01.2021 of the Korçë Judicial District Court, which sentenced this citizen to 3 years, 10 months and 11 days of imprisonment, for the criminal offense of "Assisting the passage of illegal borders", carried out in cooperation.
In 2020, this citizen, in cooperation with two other citizens, transported 15 immigrants from Third Countries with vehicles, against profit.
The procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Korçë General Jurisdiction, the police announced.
