A police officer was injured as a result of an accident that happened on the Poliçan-Çorovodë road.
According to the police, the driver of the vehicle, a citizen with the initials MB, 35 years old, who was driving the car while intoxicated, was arrested.
Meanwhile, the police officer was transported to the hospital and is out of danger.
"The services of the Road Police Sector, in cooperation with the Police Surveillance Agency, have arrested in the act the UK citizen, 35 years old, resident in Durrës. His arrest was made after on the "Poliçan-Çorovodë" road axis, while driving a "Benz" type vehicle, in a drunken state, he collided with a "Mitsubishi" type vehicle, which was being used by the traffic patrol that was performing the service in this road axis. As a result of the accident, the Police officer who was driving the vehicle was injured, and his life is out of danger", the police informs.
