A 35-year-old Albanian woman was executed by firing squad in Italy. The victim has been identified as Klodiana Vefa.
She was killed in the middle of the road on her way home from work. The murder happened on Thursday evening in a suburban street of Castelfiorentino, and more precisely in via Galvani, shortly after 8:00 p.m. The alarm was raised by some residents of the area, who heard the explosion of a gunshot. A few minutes later, an ambulance arrived at the scene, but despite efforts to revive her, doctors could do nothing but confirm her death. Meanwhile, the carabinieri of the operational unit of the Empoli company and the soldiers of the scientific investigation section of Florence have arrived at the scene.
According to preliminary information, the killer was waiting for the woman on the street. It is not known if there was an argument between the woman and her killer before the murder. The fact is that the man took out a gun and shot himself with a bullet in the head. An execution in true style, according to at least the first reconstructions of the police who are already looking for the woman's husband, who is untraceable and no longer lives with the victim. The police began interviewing several people, including the victim's two children: one of the two apparently told the investigators some arguments that had taken place between the mother and father in the past. She left behind two children: a 17-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter.
Control is extended not only to the whole Valdelsa but also along the road that goes from Castelfiorentino to Siena and also towards Florence. Carabinieri have also checked abandoned houses, so far without any success.
