A half-burnt glove used by the perpetrator of the murder of businessman Bujar Nasufi on the evening of January 12, 2025 near the area known as "Palace of Arrows" in the capital is the strongest evidence that investigators have in their hands to shed light on the serious crime.
After the crime, the perpetrator, who was riding a motorcycle, burned it in one of the tunnels in the Kombinat area, and since the perpetrator had used gloves, no fingerprints were found on the motorcycle.
But, in one of the gloves that was half-burnt, biological material was discovered and a DNA profile ready for comparison was obtained from it.
Sources close to the investigation team told News 24 that a comparison of this profile with the Interpol DNA database has been requested. If it turns out to be compatible with any of the profiles of those previously registered for other crimes, the prosecution may have the first suspect.
Investigators also confirm that a court decision has been made to compare the DNA profile obtained with that of the mother of the brothers from Përmet, who had conflicts with the murdered businessman due to the sale of a property by their father in the name of Bujar Nasuf.
Both brothers are registered in Spain in cocaine trafficking activities and the prosecution is investigating their involvement in this serious incident.
Bujar Nasufi was shot dead near his apartment in front of his wife. He was parking his car when a person approached him and executed him with several bullets.
Regarding this incident, the Prosecution is investigating several leads, but the only hope that can at least come close to identifying the perpetrator is the DNA evidence they have from him.
