A 36-year-old man identified as Ermal Llozhi has been arrested by Lezha Police for carrying weapons and combat ammunition in his apartment in Mamurras.
Police say they have seized an automatic firearm and combat ammunition as evidence.
"The police operation codenamed "Information" is finalized. As a result of the immediate administration of information provided by police intelligence, another case of illegal possession of weapons was cracked.
36-year-old Ermal Llozhi was arrested for carrying a weapon and ammunition in his apartment in Mamurras.
The firearm will undergo further examination at the Institute of Scientific Police to determine whether it was used in any previous criminal events.
The procedural materials were passed to the Lezha General Jurisdiction Prosecutor's Office for further action, for the criminal offense "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", the police announced.
