A photo of the Porsche, which author Armand Shakaj is suspected of using to transport the lifeless body of Eglant Koç, has been published.
New details have come to light regarding the disappearance of 34-year-old Eglant Koçi, who investigators suspect was murdered and then buried.
Meanwhile, a photo of Armand Shakaj's vehicle, which is suspected of transporting the young man's dead body, has also been published.
Tirana Police, with the support of Kosovo authorities, continue the search operations to find the body of the young man. Specialized equipment is being used on the ground, while the searches are focused on several areas on the outskirts of the capital.
After the checks in Krrabë, Elbasan and Librazhd, the investigative group focused its actions on the Qafëmolla area and Pëllumbas, places that were suspected to be well known and frequently frequented by Armand Shakaj, the 41-year-old wanted for the incident.
Sources close to the investigation indicate that there are suspicions that Shakaj's vehicle was seen in the Pëllumbas area after Koç's disappearance.
Shakaj was identified in the early days of the investigation as one of the people with whom Eglant Koçi had had contact before her disappearance. He was among the first to be questioned by the police.
A check of the phone records revealed that the last person Koçi had communicated with was Armand Shakaj. During questioning, he stated that he had no knowledge of his friend's whereabouts and that he was equally concerned about his disappearance.
According to sources, after leaving the police station, he also met with Eglant Koç's family and relatives, to whom he expressed his concern about the disappearance and asked them to notify him if they had any information about him.
However, despite being kept under police surveillance after his testimony, Shakaj disappeared and disappeared. At a later point, when asked to appear again to testify, he claimed to be in hospital.
After analyzing numerous security camera footage and other investigative actions, authorities came to suspect that Shakaj may have kidnapped Eglant Koçi.
According to data from the TIMS system, the 41-year-old does not appear to have left the territory of Albania, which has strengthened investigators' suspicions that he may still be hiding in Tirana or the surrounding areas.
We recall that Eglant Koçi has been missing since June 4, while the investigation group is working on the suspicions that the 34-year-old was killed and then his body was buried. At the center of the investigation is Armand Shakaj, known as "Mand Dhelpra", a close friend of Koçi and wanted by the police. Suspicions against him have been strengthened after the analysis of video footage and telephone records, from which it has emerged that he was the last person to have communicated with Koçi before his disappearance.
During the search of the Porsche used by Shakaj, investigators found tools, including a shovel with mud residue, an element that has increased suspicions that the body may have been buried. According to investigators, the 34-year-old's body may have remained in the vehicle for more than 24 hours, which was then transported by cart to the Iba area. Meanwhile, the investigations are also focusing on a possible conflict between two friends over activities related to cryptocurrencies and a significant amount of unpaid money. The search for the body continues in several areas of Tirana and Elbasan, with the support of specialized forces from Kosovo.
