Three people were injured after an armed conflict in a bar in Elbasan, while the perpetrator fled the scene after throwing his weapon during a pursuit by an off-duty police officer.
The State Police has reacted to the serious incident that occurred this evening in Elbasan, where three people were injured after gunshots were fired inside a bar.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred at around 8:30 PM in the "Vullnetari" neighborhood, where an unidentified person fired a pistol at three citizens.
The injured were Bjorgi Hoxha, 19 years old, Armand Tomorrica, 32 years old, and Renaldo Mançe, 31 years old. According to the police, all three are out of danger.
At the time of the incident, an off-duty police officer was inside the bar. As soon as he heard the shots, he immediately came out and started chasing the perpetrator.
While leaving, the perpetrator threw away the firearm and was able to escape deep into the neighborhood. Numerous police forces have surrounded the area and intensive checks are continuing to locate and capture him, while the investigation team is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
"Around 20:30, in the "Vullnetari" neighborhood, Elbasan, on the veranda of a bar, a still unidentified citizen fired a firearm, a pistol, at three citizens: AT, 32 years old, RM, 31 years old, and BH, 19 years old, who were injured, but not in danger of life.
At the time of the incident, an off-duty police officer was inside the bar, and as soon as he heard the shots, he immediately came out and started chasing the perpetrator.
During the pursuit, the perpetrator dropped the firearm and was able to flee deep into the neighborhood. Numerous police forces have surrounded the area in a wide perimeter and intensive checks are continuing to locate and capture him.
Meanwhile, the investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is continuing its actions at the scene to fully clarify the circumstances, as well as to seize any evidence that will serve the investigation to identify and capture the perpetrator," the police announced.
