Following the US Embassy's warning of a possible threat from groups linked to Iran, Anti-Terror structures in Albania have significantly increased their level of preparedness and intensified measures on the ground.
It is reported that the Anti-Terror units have held meetings with representatives of the American and Israeli Embassies, with the aim of coordinating actions and preparing for any possible scenario.
Although the plan of measures had been drafted earlier, after this warning, monitoring and assessment of potential risks has increased significantly.
The focus of the measures are diplomatic facilities, the Mujahideen building in Manëz, as well as public spaces with a high influx of citizens, which are considered highly sensitive areas.
In the coming days, an increase in the presence of police forces on the ground is expected, while SHISH is also involved in this operation, which in cooperation with Anti-Terror structures will increase vigilance for the security of strategic facilities.
